Geo Metro (Andrew Salyer) is a producer and composer from Philadelphia PA. A member of the Aesir A/V Collective, his work has been featured on Tiger Blood Tapes, Illuminated Paths, Virtua94 and Slit Jockey Records among others. His most recent album SCIVIAS has received accolades and features from outlets such as Sunbleach Media, Bandcamp, Brokelyn, Blisshop and VapoUrban. As a performer, Geo Metro is regularly featured in and around the Philadelphia area and recently performed to a sold-out crowd at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere in support of 100% ElectroniCON, the world’s first vaporwave music and art festival.

Geo Metro sets off 2020 with a trio of thematically related full-length LPs receiving simultaneous release across three separate labels: Tiger Blood Tapes (Toronto), Virtua94 (Philadelphia) and NOREMIXES (Philadelphia). All three albums are arranged in thematic consideration of the three staages of ascetic contemplation - Katharsis, Theoria and Theosis - as described by Pseudo-Dionysus the Areopagite, a 6th century theologian of minor note.

Virtua94 is proud to host KATHARSIS, an album in this magical trilogy of musical arrangements based on the imagination of GEO METRO. This LP gives the audience the reminder of late-night Adult Swim commercials, early 2000's rock interludes, and some amazing vapor-ambient vibes that surely make this a worthy release in an masterpiece of a trilogy.
