Debuted during Virtua94's "macrochilled_pixels" live stream on 1/15/21, Present-Day Megalith is Hideyoshi's debut in capturing the style of Dreampunk.

"Present-Day Megalith is a reference to the more lonesome and tomb like aspects to our modern day cities. It serves to represent what they one day will become. For this project I wanted to capture a traditional cyber punk/ dreampunk sound while still leaving some room to break the expectation of the listener. This album combines analog synth loops and melodies, chopped from various vintage synth packs, as well as originally composed work using a Novation MINInova synthesizer. It also includes sound scaping captured from the inner city Philadelphia area, worked and blended into the music. I aimed to keep the music mostly drum free, ambient and unquantized, but the project does contain a very few rhythmic sections. I hope that you enjoy this project as it will take you on a disorienting journey through the realm of dystopia." - Hideyoshi
